Changelog

Real product pages and Shopify metafields

Products synced from your store now show up in Knowledge as real product pages, with images, options, every variant, collections and the custom fields (metafields) you keep in Shopify: materials, care instructions, size charts, specs. Customer and order metafields show up next to the conversation, and Aide can use them when it answers a verified customer.

How it behaves

  • Opening a synced product in Knowledge: you see its image gallery, price, availability, option chips, a variant table with SKU, price and stock, its collections, a Details list of its metafields, the description, and links to the storefront and the Shopify admin. Picking a colour or size shows that variant's image, price and stock.
  • Product articles not linked to a synced product (some older imports): they keep the page built from their text.
  • Metafields with a file or image: they show as a link (a size chart PDF opens in a new tab).
  • Customer and order metafields in a conversation: a compact Details list under the customer summary and on each order card (for example a loyalty tier or a gift message).
  • What Aide reads: product metafields are part of what Aide knows about a product. Customer and order metafields reach Aide's replies only when the customer's identity is verified, the same rule as their orders.
  • Metafields that belong to other apps (the app-- namespaces) are not shown or used.

For developers

  • New GET /v1/products (search with q over title, vendor and SKU; filter by sourceId, integrationId, status; paginated) and GET /v1/products/:id.
  • Knowledge documents have a new productId field (prod_… or null).
  • metafields arrays (namespace, key, name, type, value, display, url, references) are new on products, and on the store customer and orders returned by GET /v1/conversations/:id/orders.
