Your team now gets email for the notifications they choose, so a shopper asking for a person reaches someone even when the dashboard is closed.
How it behaves
- Your settings decide: each notification type in Settings › Notifications has an email setting. "Always" emails every time; "Outside hours only" emails only while your business hours are closed (the same schedule handoffs use).
- What's in the email: what happened, the conversation's subject, the customer's name and a link to the conversation. Never the message itself or the customer's email address.
- No floods: at most one email per person, conversation and notification type every 5 minutes.
- Who doesn't get one: the teammate who caused the event, and deactivated members.
- Sound and desktop alerts: every in-app notification also chimes, and shows a desktop alert while Aide is in the background once you enable desktop alerts from the bell. Turning a notification off in app silences it too.
- Not yet: the daily digest email. The digest setting is marked "Coming soon".
Also in this change
- Push notifications are not part of Aide. The Push column and the quiet hours setting are gone from Settings › Notifications; neither ever sent or held anything back.
