Changelog

Shopify orders in every conversation

The conversation panel now shows the customer's Shopify profile and their recent orders, with items, totals, fulfilment status and tracking. Aide's chat replies can use the same orders when the customer's identity is verified.

How it behaves

  • Email, helpdesk and social conversations: the sender's address identifies them, so Aide finds their store customer and shows their 10 most recent orders, newest first.
  • Widget chats from a signed-in shopper (signed identify): same as above, and Aide's replies can mention their last 5 orders, totals and tracking.
  • Widget chats from an anonymous visitor who typed an email: the panel still shows the matching store customer and orders to your team, marked Unverified, matched by email only. Aide's replies never see these orders, because anyone can type someone else's email.
  • No matching customer: the Orders section says no store customer matches the conversation.
  • Disconnected store: orders from a store you disconnected are no longer shown.
  • Several stores: orders from every connected Shopify store are included.

For developers

  • New GET /v1/conversations/:id/orders, which returns { object: "conversation_orders", matchedBy, verified, customer, orders }. matchedBy is link, verified_identity, email or null. customer is a store_customer (cus_…) or null. orders are order objects (ord_…) with items, fulfillments (carrier, number, url, status), shippingAddress, fulfillmentStatus (unfulfilled, partial, fulfilled, cancelled or unknown), and total as a decimal string.
