When a shopper adds a product to their cart from one of Aide's product cards, Aide now shows a compact "Pairs well with" row of up to three products that go with it, each with its own add to cart. Shoppers can complete the look without leaving the conversation.
How it behaves
- Where the pairings come from: the same pairings Aide uses in chat answers: the ones you add on a product in Aide first, then your Search & Discovery complementary products, then products customers often buy together. Pairings you hide are never shown.
- Only what can be bought now: a paired product appears only if it is active, has a price and has at least one variant in stock. At most three are shown, best first.
- When it appears: right after a successful add to cart from a card, under the product cards. Adding another card's product switches the row to that product's pairings. Products without pairings show no row.
- Adding a pairing: a product with a single variant has a "+ Add" button that adds it to the cart the same way the card does. A product with sizes, colours or other options links to its product page, so the shopper chooses there.
- The cart stays closed: adding from the row never opens the cart drawer; the shopper opens it when ready.
- Off your storefront: where the card itself can't add to the cart, the row's products are linked to their pages instead.
