Aide conversations on Shopify order and customer pages

Your team can now see a customer's Aide conversations without leaving the Shopify admin. Order and customer pages show an "Aide conversations" block with the latest conversations about that order or customer, and one click opens any of them in Aide.

How it behaves

  • Order page: lists the conversations the order is linked to, including the chat that led to the purchase.
  • Customer page: lists the conversations with that customer, about any of their orders, or started by them.
  • Each conversation shows: its subject (or the latest message preview), when it was last active, and its state: Aide is handling it, waiting for a person, a person is handling it, resolved by Aide, or resolved by a person.
  • Opening a conversation: the title opens it in the Aide inbox in a new tab. Your team signs in to Aide as usual; the block itself shows no message text beyond the short preview.
  • Up to 10 conversations, most recently active first. Test chats from the Aide dashboard are not shown.
  • No conversations yet, or the order hasn't synced to Aide yet: the block says there are no Aide conversations.
  • Store not connected to Aide, or Aide unreachable: the block says conversations aren't available right now.
  • Placement: merchants add or move the block from the order or customer page like any other app block.
