Home now shows one setup checklist for the way you use Aide, instead of a grid of suggestions. It shows how far you've got ("2 of 5 done"), opens the one step to do next with its button, and ticks each step off by itself when Aide sees it done. Once Aide answers its first customer or drafts its first reply, Home says "You're live" and links you to it.
How it behaves
- Aide Chat on your website: Aide learns your website, you try your agent in the preview, you turn AI replies on, Aide Chat shows up on your site, and Aide answers its first visitor. Each step ticks itself off: the last two when Aide Chat loads on your site and when it first replies.
- Aide Chat on a Shopify store: the same steps, after connecting your store. The site step opens your theme editor and ticks itself off when Aide Chat loads on your store.
- Gorgias, Zendesk or Front: start the Pro trial (or upgrade to Pro), connect your helpdesk, choose where drafts appear, then see the first draft, with "Open the ticket" leading straight to it in your helpdesk. Every unfinished step leads to the helpdesk's guided setup.
- Your support email: add your address, forward it to Aide until a test email arrives (the step stays open until forwarding is confirmed), turn AI replies on for your mailbox, then see Aide's first answer. With Gmail, connecting Gmail replaces the first two steps.
- More than one way: the checklist you picked first during sign-up is open, and the others are folded below it, each with its own progress.
- A paused agent: the AI replies step says "Turn AI replies back on" with a Resume button, instead of counting it as on.
- Your website couldn't be read: the first step says "We couldn't read acme.com" and why, with a Re-import button. You can try your agent meanwhile.
- Aide Chat blocked on a site: the site step says so and offers Allow in place, as the banner on Home did.
- Done with it: owners and admins can hide the checklist for the whole workspace. Teammates only see the "You're live" card.
Also in this change
- "Book a demo" is a small link at the top of Home, and "Review integrations" is gone.
- The reminders beside Conversations no longer say the agent is on while it's paused.
- The sign-in screen of Aide's sidebar app in Zendesk and Front, and its "Connect Zendesk" screen, offer "New to Aide? Start a free trial", which opens sign-up with your helpdesk already picked.
