A new workspace now hears from Aide at the moments that matter while it's getting set up: a welcome with the one next step for what you told us you want Aide for, a nudge if nothing is connected after a day, a heads-up when a website import fails or when Aide Chat is live with AI replies off, and a Monday summary of the week. Every one of them can be turned off in one click, from the email or from your mail app's own "Unsubscribe" button.
How it behaves
- Welcome: owners and admins get "Welcome to Aide" shortly after sign-up, once the setup questions are answered. It names one next step from what the workspace said it wants: finish setting up Gorgias, Zendesk or Front; turn on Aide in your Shopify theme (or connect Shopify first); forward your support email; or try your agent, then add Aide Chat to your site. Workspaces created from the Shopify admin get their own "workspace is ready" email instead.
- Nothing connected after a day: if a workspace has no channel, no helpdesk and Aide Chat hasn't been seen on a site 24 hours after sign-up, owners and admins get "Aide is ready when you are" with the same next step.
- Website import failed: when Aide can't read a website or help center you asked it to learn from, you get "We couldn't read shop.example" with what went wrong (no readable pages, or the import stopped) and a "Try again" link to the source. Once per source.
- Aide Chat live, AI replies off: an hour after Aide Chat is first seen on your site, if no deployed agent answers it, you get "Aide Chat is on shop.example, but AI replies are off" with a link to your agent.
- Weekly summary: on Mondays, workspaces where Aide replied or drafted the week before get "{n} conversations, {resolved} resolved by Aide, {handoffs} handed off", with a link to Analytics.
- Only for the first month, only once each: setup emails stop 30 days after sign-up and each goes out once per workspace. They go to owners and admins, never to agents. Workspaces moved from the previous Aide app don't get them.
- Unsubscribe in one click: setup emails, the weekly summary and the "Aide answered its first customer" email end with "Unsubscribe from these emails" and "Email preferences". The link opens a page that asks once, then turns that type of email off; Gmail's and Yahoo's own unsubscribe button turns it off without opening anything. Account, billing and security email still arrive.
- Settings, Notifications: "Setup tips" and "Weekly summary" say exactly what they send, and are on until you turn them off. "Activity alerts" and the digest selector, which never sent anything, are gone. Turning one switch on or off no longer turns off the others.
