When you pick a plan or a helpdesk on aide.app and then sign up, Aide keeps that choice. Setup starts with your helpdesk already ticked, and if you chose a paid plan, setup ends by offering that plan's 7-day trial instead of dropping you on Free.
How it behaves
- You came from a helpdesk page (Gorgias, Zendesk, Front…): that helpdesk is already selected on setup's "What's your tech stack?" step. You can still change it.
- You picked Starter, Pro or Scale on the pricing page: the last setup step's main button is "Start your 7-day Pro trial" (or the plan you picked), which opens Checkout. "Continue on Free" sits beside it, and the trial can still be started later from Billing. If you also picked a helpdesk, Checkout brings you back to that helpdesk's setup page.
- You came from aide.app's Gorgias page: its main button is now "Start your 7-day Pro trial". The Zendesk and Front pages say "Start free" and the chat page "Start free, add Aide Chat in 5 minutes"; "Get a demo" is still beside them.
- You didn't pick a plan: setup ends on Free as before, and the sign-up form says so: "Free plan, no card."
- You sign up with Google: the plan and helpdesk you picked survive the trip to Google and back.
- The email already has an account: the sign-up form offers "Sign in instead". If you were invited, it offers "Sign in to join {workspace}", and signing in adds you to that workspace.
- You open an invite link while already signed in: Aide adds you to the workspace and takes you there, instead of sending you to Home.
Also in this change
- Setup has a "Sign out" link in its header.
- An agent invited into a workspace whose owner hasn't finished setup goes straight to Home instead of seeing the owner's setup questions.
- Each setup step has its own address (
/start?step=2), so the browser's back button moves between steps.
