Best AI for apparel brands

Five AI agents for apparel, scored on fit and swaps.

Apparel support is mostly size questions, swaps and order changes. We set five criteria for those jobs, then read each vendor's own pages on November 3, 2026. · By

Short answer

For a Shopify apparel brand, Siena meets all five criteria here, and Aide, Gorgias AI Agent and Yuma meet four each, missing exchanges, multi-helpdesk fit and a published price respectively. Zipchat sells well but needs a custom skill before its AI changes orders.

How we scored them

The five criteria are the jobs that fill an apparel inbox. A tool meets one only when its own pages, read on November 3, 2026, say it does. Anything we couldn't find is marked "Not confirmed" and doesn't count.

  1. Sizing answers: the AI answers fit questions from your size chart or fit guide.
  2. Exchanges: the AI creates the size or color exchange itself, in Shopify or a returns app.
  3. Order actions: built in, the AI cancels orders and changes shipping addresses in Shopify.
  4. Helpdesk fit: it runs inside at least two of Zendesk, Gorgias and Front, so you keep the helpdesk you have.
  5. Published price: the pricing unit and rate are on the vendor's own pricing page.

Ties go to the lowest published price to start using the AI.

The five, ranked

1. Siena: meets every criterion, for brands ready for a platform fee

Siena answers sizing from a guide kept in its knowledge, creates Loop returns and exchanges inside the conversation, and on Shopify cancels orders, changes addresses and sends replacements. It works inside Zendesk, Gorgias, Intercom, Kustomer, Gladly and Dixa, but Front isn't on its list. The published rate is a $750 monthly platform fee plus $0.90 per automated ticket, with the final price sent after a form. More in Aide vs Siena.

2. Aide: for teams on Front, Zendesk or Gorgias that start small

Aide answers fit questions from the guide your product page points to and checks which sizes are in stock. In Aide Chat it knows the product and variant the shopper is viewing. For verified shoppers it cancels, changes the address or removes an unshipped item, and refunds wait for a teammate by default. Size swaps go through your returns portal, such as Loop or AfterShip, via a Start your return button, so Aide misses the exchange criterion. It does not handle voice. 3. Gorgias AI Agent: for brands that run everything in Gorgias

Gorgias's own agent can replace one item on an order with another size or color after checking stock, and hands the ticket to your team when the swap costs more. It cancels unfulfilled orders and edits addresses, and Vision reads fit photos that shoppers send. It runs only in Gorgias. Each automated interaction is also billed as a helpdesk ticket. More in Aide vs Gorgias AI Agent.

4. Yuma: for high-volume brands that want a managed rollout

Yuma reads your size chart and the shopper's past purchases, creates exchange orders in Shopify or in Loop, and edits addresses before fulfillment. It plugs into Gorgias, Zendesk, Front, Kustomer and others. Pricing is per fully resolved ticket, set after a demo, with a 30-day trial on your own tickets. More in Aide vs Yuma.

5. Zipchat: for apparel stores that lead with selling

Zipchat reads your catalog with every variant and its stock, recommends products and recovers carts, on the site and in messaging channels. Its pages mark refunds, returns, cancellations and address changes as needing an Agentic Skill you connect, so we count those as not built in. Inside a helpdesk, it works with Zendesk. More in Aide vs Zipchat.

What each pricing unit means for one fit question

Say a shopper sends three messages about sizing, then swaps a size, and the AI resolves it. On Aide, that is 3 AI replies, because Aide counts each customer message it answers. On Zipchat it is at least 3 replies, one per AI message sent. On Gorgias AI Agent it is 1 automated interaction plus 1 helpdesk ticket, on Siena 1 automated ticket, and on Yuma 1 resolution. Aide counts conversations it hands to your team too; the outcome-priced tools don't.

Picking one

  • Exchanges must happen inside the conversation, on Zendesk or Gorgias: Siena or Yuma.
  • Your team works in Front: Aide or Yuma.
  • You run Gorgias for everything: Gorgias AI Agent, or Aide working inside Gorgias.
  • You want to start free and see real answers first: Aide.
  • Selling on site matters more than order changes: Zipchat.

Frequently asked questions

Of the five here, Siena creates Loop exchanges in the conversation, Yuma creates exchange orders in Shopify or Loop, and Gorgias AI Agent swaps one item for another size on the order. Aide opens your returns portal on the order and the portal makes the swap.

Aide, Siena and Yuma say so on their own pages, and Gorgias AI Agent answers from the knowledge and Shopify data you give it. Aide also checks which sizes are in stock before it suggests one.

Aide and Yuma both list Front. Siena's helpdesk list covers Zendesk, Gorgias, Intercom, Kustomer, Gladly and Dixa, and Gorgias AI Agent runs only in Gorgias.

Per AI reply (Aide, Zipchat), per automated interaction plus the helpdesk ticket (Gorgias AI Agent), a platform fee plus a fee per automated ticket (Siena), and per fully resolved ticket priced after a demo (Yuma).

It misses the exchange criterion. Aide hands size swaps to your returns portal rather than creating them, and the ranking rule was fixed before any tool was scored.
